That looks awesome, what species is it for?
I’m curious about the enclosure? Is it meant for reptiles? Why do you use it, for the security of the closed sides, does it hold heat better, better price? Who manufactures it?

Species, its for my blue tegu, Tupinambis merianae. The enclosure is actually meant for plants, but I readjusted the inside so now its like a sandbox for my tegu, haha. I’m using this one instead, because it holds humidity so well, I’m usually getting 80- 100% humidity. The price is was only 75 dollars when I got it, now its 85 dollars, pretty good in my honest opinion. It definitely holds heat better, the heat radiance the entire area, on my low end I’m only at 70 Fahrenheit, (I just need to get better bulbs). The manufacture is Opulent Systems, (Here’s a link if you want one). → Amazon.com : OPULENT SYSTEMS

The only downside I could think of when owning a Grow tent, is the possibility of leaking, which is why mine is hanging off of the ceiling, (I don’t want to damage my expensive carpet.) other then that there’s no other downside I can say off the top of my head.

I have to say it looks awesome.

Is it for a baby or adult? Is it escape proof, I’m not sure if Tegu’s are good at escaping or not.

How do you see in to the enclosure without letting the heat and humidity out?

Sorry for all the questions, I’m really curious.

The cage is for a baby, (It might be a bit big, but ehhhh idk what I can do about it now).

The cage is escape proof for the most part, in the picture on the top left, there is this
round foil that is scrunched up, these are just some big holes placed around the enclosure to help with airflow, they have scrunchies that will shrink them, but to be on the safe side I just used some zipties on them.

There is actually a square window made out of a plastic-like material that I can easily see through and means there is no need of opening up the cage.

I can get into the cage with these nice heavy duty SBS Zippers, (They are water resistant too). * Oops, hand reveal.*

If anyone asks, these little grey-ish black patches is how the animal gets its air, I have one on the back and top of my cage. Tegus are in fact very sneaky and cleaver, they are the kings of escaping their enclosures.
(( IMPORTANT, before getting a grow tent make sure it has a window, if you don’t, your reptile will be living in a box.))

That’s really cool. Did you need to do any reinforcing on the interior to prevent him from just scratching through the grow tent?

It looks amazing :+1:

Yeah I did do some reinforcements on the walls, I made a wooden box and stabled a lake tarp over it. If that isn’t enough, and he manages to start scratching at the walls, I will just bamboo line the walls.

I’d be worried about them breaking out… 100% will eventually realise they can escape for sure I’d say! So just make sure if/when it does get out it is in a safe place and can’t get anywhere or outside.
Also they like to climb up levels if you can add them  Very curious reptiles. Would love one! :star_struck:

Oh yeah, I’m certainly going to add some more climbing area’s, good thing the cage is in my room, so if he escapes ill be the first one to know. :mag:
