Pictures of reptiles in the “wild”

Here’s a couple more beach dinos.

This snowy egret let me get pretty close.

And I’m pretty sure this is a long-billed curlew…because just look at that thing. It’d be like if humans walked around with 5-foot straws for mouths. There’s also some sandpipers in the background.

And here’s a group of sandpipers that let me get closer than usual.

There were loads of snowy egrets at the beach yesterday, more than I’ve ever seen at one time before. Loved these three little buggers.

Not a reptile but still in the underrated critter category? I saw this little cutie on the grill today. We are in tent caterpillar season in GA and I always love seeing the brilliant colors on these guys.

Very cool! Normally we start getting a bunch of the fluffy black ones around this time of year, but I haven’t seen any yet this year.

I did find this moth at work a while back. The camera does not do the colour justice, this thing was BRIGHT mint green, like a carton of mint chocolate chip ice cream.

I’ve found other moths like that, but they usually have a grey to tan base colour. Still very beautiful, I love their patterning, but the mint green one was wild. I figure it must be some sort of random colour mutation. If it was captive bred, we’d call it a morph.

Here’s what those moths usually look like:

I am so jealous of you right now @logar!:clap:. It looks like you are having a “wild” time with all of the cool lizards all around! Have you been eating lots of seafood? Really appreciate the pictures as well!!!:heart::heart::blue_heart::blue_heart::blue_heart:
