@eorr53 ant pictures of your snow? I am completely in love with that girl! Please some pictures when you can.
Ooooh, they’re SOOO pretty!
I don’t know how hot the sun might have been, but the bull snakes are down right SMOKING!
The albino whiteside? I ended up selling her to make room for another female (actually the red het red hypo female I just shared) with genes I needed more in my collection. I have a number of animals that are het for whiteside and albino, so I’ll likely end up making some of my own at some point. It was a tough decision because she is beautiful. I was pretty particular about where she went. I ended up finding someone a few hours away in NC that was just starting out breeding hognoses and had a bullsnake as well. I feel confident she went to a good home.
Haha! Thanks. Little Penelope (pronounced Peen-a-lope) really lit up in the sun. She’s pretty orange/brown under indoor lighting but when the sun hit her, she glowed orange/red. Her saddles are starting to turn purple which should look really nice as the orange/red keeps coming in on her base. She also has green eyes which is super cool. As a hatchling she was pretty drab but I think she is going to “ugly duckling” pretty hard for me. She’s Toro’s future GF
Seriously those guys are simply stellar! The combinations of colors and patterns on each one almost create three different snakes in each one!
I think bull snakes are in a class of their own and yours are a quite a refreshing change in this MMC! Thank you for sharing!!!
Thank you! I’m pretty happy with my group and excited to see what they can produce in the future. I’ve got 5 planned pairs but also options to mix and match to prove out some hets, and maybe get a surprise or two. Just gotta wait two more years for everyone to grow up!
Wonderful thread guys and featuring a myriad of Pituophis splendour !!
Allow me to add my little contribution.
Holy smokes man! I’ve never seen an annectens like that before. Very nice!
Holy cow @pituophisart! Those guys are stunning! My favorite is the first one but wow on all of them!
Last season I was fortunate enough to produce two brand new annectens phenotypes , the parents were multi gene het animals from my bloodlines. The 9 eggs actually yielded 6 different phenotypes inc, the 2 brand new phenos.
T+Snow patternless Pituophis catenifer annectens
That faint patterning will fade away with age , already at one year old the pattern has faded. The eye colour is truly marvellous.
Sibling of the above and the second of the brand new phenotypes
Super Ghost Pituophis catenifer annectens
Hey Thanks eorr,
annectens have been my thing for 20+ years now and I’m still amazed at the phenotypes I’m seeing. Perhaps it was worth all the hard work after all.
Those colors are absolutely out of sight! Beautiful animals, @pituophisart .
Wow, they are BLACK!! Love those keeled scales too!
Wow, pretty snake!
