Please help me ID?

Hey everyone, was just wondering if more experienced minds could confirm my suspicions that this ball python is a Super YB? She has a feint yellow line down her dorsal and her eyes are black. Blushing on her headstamp.

Thanks for looking!

Do you have any info on her parents? That would be the best way for us to ID outside of you purchasing a shed test.

BlkELs (black eye leucistics) and BELs (blue eye leucistics) can have multiple different morph combos that result in the same appearance… and since you can get white snakes with varying amounts of yellow its not easy to just visually ID them…

Example:

These two are the almost the same morph combo and they have very different yellowing in their pattern. They came from a Russo Lesser paired to a Banana Mystic Pastel.

Female Russo Mystic:

Male Banana Russo Mystic:

And then here’s a Lesser Mystic that has no yellow at all and is from the same clutch:

Your best bet if you have no parent info is to send a sample of shed in for genetic testing.

It sounds like you have a nice bright Ivory (super YB) but testing is the easiest way. For example I have a Blue Eyed Lucy with black looking eyes because he’s also carrying at least one if not 2 copies of cinnamon.

Thank you so much for the detailed responses. I unfortunately don’t know the lineage of this girl and therefore I agree shed testing is probably the best way forward.

I originally replied asking for information regarding shed testing from the UK but realised the awesome people who responded with from the US. So I’ll think I’ll start a new thread for that one.

Thanks again

An in focus, closer shot of the head and eyes with better lighting on a more neutral background would certainly help with determining things but from what I am seeing, it certainly looks to be an Ivory.
