The breeder said this is Mahogany Fire (Parents are Mojave Mahogany x Fire). I’m having difficulties with identifying each visible traits mixed into this one ball python. Can anyone help confirm it, with explanation please?
Thankyou.

The downside is just how polymorphic these genes can be sometimes… Pictures of the parents may help. Especially in the case of mom. Some mahoganys look more normal and others look like odd mojaves.
I’m not as familiar with mahogany, but I do agree there looks like there could be Mojave there. If there’s a photo where we can see more of the side and belly clearly that may help as well.
As far as why I think…
The color looks like a strong fire influence.
The side patterns does look a bit more like what you see in a mahogany Mojave, slightly more angular or broken and less rounded than typical for either of them. And the fire softens it up a bit more while leaving the smudge like mark inside instead of a clean keyhole or eye.
Mahogany and Fire gives it more of a granite style alien head as shown above.
The all gener the alien heads would be chain linked together.
I’d advise use the MM calculator and researching all the combos and see examples
Like @akmorphs said if Mojave and mahogany were both there the side pattern would look mostly linked together similar to black pastel with other morphs can look. And @armiyana got the softness(I call it fuzziness ) of the fire and of course the brightness. So I am thinking mahogany, fire as well. Beauty of a bp!
I was just going off MorphMarket and went threw all the plain mohagany fires and Mojove mahogany fires
This is the closest looking one I could find
I agree with what is said about the mojove and the linking pattern but I couldn’t find any mahogany fires that looked similar
Nice example! But you can see in that picture the more angular and as @akmorphs said a granite type look. You could be correct because like @armiyana pointed out
So it could have both genes, but I still think it just has the 2(mahogany, fire) here is one that has similar color and dorsal markings, you can see how the fire softens it up.
Hello, I just wanted to add a photo of my Leopard Mahogany Mojave in case it can help here, although I know Leopard certainly makes noticeable changes to pattern/color.
Thank you so much to all friends for helping me out.
