Pondering a prospective passel of Peaches

Coronet is the last one for this evening. He’s also the first (Peach?) Diffused Opal. I took lots of pics in hopes that I’d capture his colors, but I don’t think I really succeeded.

Whew! That's it on pics for tonight. Thanks for checking them out!

Oh yeah, he’s very intensely colored. That is indeed the Peach at work. He’s going to be bright bright bright! I’ve got a couple of yearling Peach Amels from last season who are half-siblings to these. I’ll take a couple new pics of them tomorrow.

I absolutely agree!! It’s a great problem to have though. :fireworks:

Three more out this morning. There’s one Opal pipped, and one egg being an egg.

The first one for the morning is Redgold. He’s another maybe Peach Fire Masque. The light was good this morning and I could see his belly pretty well. There’s some suffusion and bits of color in various places. Makes me curious about some of the babies from yesterday who looked like they were Diffused, then got marked Masque instead because of the way their bellies’ edges looked. Once they’ve shed, hopefully things will make more sense.

Beautiful. That red color really seems different. And my palm is about the same shade of pink as yours, so I think what I’m seeing is real.

There’s a peach cultivar called Lucky13, so that’s the name for this pretty Fire Masque who is hatchling #13! She looks to be Peach right now, I think. She’s sweet as summer, too. Of course, that may change when she’s adjusted to the world outside her egg. Lol

It’s a very different color from the reds I am used to seeing with Amels, or even my Strawberries. I know all screens are different, but I do try and adjust the white balance and things so that colors are as accurate as I can manage. Can’t wait to see these babies after a shed or two!

This one is Harmony, another Diffused Opal Masque and a female. Gotta love the see-through babies! I do still pop them, but it’s nice to have a visual check.

So @caryl You had to be worn out last night because I was! :joy:. I can’t wait until everyone is out and sheds! Those juicy peaches are truly out of this world! I couldn’t possibly pick a favorite! At least till they shed!:joy:

Ulrich ate his pink compliments of tongs this afternoon! Then he headed straight to his warm side! A smart little dude he is! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Haha I’m so far past worn out! It’s mostly for good reasons, though there have been a few stressors from other directions I could’ve done without.

Hooray for Ulrich! Most of his siblings shed in the past day or two. The Strawberry Granites are showing more pinks, and the Strawberry Bloods and Fires have become insanely saturated. That’s another thread I need to do, but here is a quick shot of Jewel, the female who looks like your boy. I’m amazed at all that rich color at this age.

Yep that’s Ulrich as well! I keep looking for shed from him but so far I haven’t seen anything. I have a feeling both of these babies are going to become redder than red in the weeks to come! I just can’t get over how tame Ulrich is for such a tiny baby. He acts like he has always been here and nothing phases him. It’s actually quite remarkable Caryl……

This makes me really happy, thank you. I love these babies. The whole clutch is sweet and calm and beautiful.

@caron, you hexed me! Baby #15 has emerged, and he’s the first one in this clutch with **attitude.
** He was resting on top of the moss when I raised the lid on the bin. He took one look at me and dived for cover. I fished him out and was immediately bitten. While I laughed about that, he dripped musk on my hand. He’s named for a peach cultivar, but I hear him saying his name in Marlon Brando’s voice. (Fans of classic movies will know what I mean.) This little Opal Diffused Masque dude is Contender.

These guys are so maddeningly cute, I’m beyond charmed! And that red. Every single one of these is going to be a stunner, peach, super peach, or no peach.

:joy::joy::joy::joy:. Well ya know there’s gotta be one in the bunch sooner or later! Besides, you were the one bragging on the whole clutch! :joy:.

But his name suits him and he is gorgeous imho!

Hey now, the clutch I was talking about was the one Ulrich came from, Allstar and Annelie’s! I take the disposition of brand new babies with a grain of salt. Most of them hatch pretty chill. Then they shed and a lot want to fight to the death and/or run for the hills.

I know I was just giving you a hard time! I bet Contender will be very apologetic when he realizes that he was a bad boy! :joy:
