Recent events have sparked my curiosity.
What would adequate steps be to determine a paradox animal as a mosaic or chimera?
How would you go about gathering enough information to make an educated assessment?

Need to know the parentage/genetics of mom and dad + the usual gene expression of possible combos and thus recognizing outliers. Most often, paradox/chimera only expresses in small parts of the animal. If you think you might have a paradox/chimera, feel free to post fullbody images of the animal in natural indirect daylight plus the known genetics of the dam and sire!
Gonna pull some stuff from another thread, this is a great explanation of mosaic vs chimera:
And from the same thread, when given an example photo of an animal and being asked which it was, paradox or chimera:
I unfortunately did not save the lineage info for this animal(aquired in 2019) and have been unable to track down fhe breeder as they got out of reptiles and took all related social media down and the listing was archived. I do know that champagne, hypo, fire and leopard were in the pairing.
I have two clutches from him, one thats currently pipping, one that is fully hatched and he did pass on leopard, and champagne but so far no babies that ive seen with both leopard and champagne present.
I do plan to shed test both phenotypes to truly have a better idea but have to wait for next shed cycle so this post is mainly for curiosities sake
Thank you! I also read the main post and saw the other persons snake in question. Part of my curiosity has also revolved around Skittles as she also has defied the even split idea. The comments definitely broadened my understanding
