Hey all,
I have a newly rescued adult female veiled chameleon. In effort to put her in a stackable enclosure to fit better in the reptile room, I was curious if anyone has bought PVC enclosures and then altered them for chameleon needs?
I LOVE making my own backgrounds, and would enjoy doing one for her as well. I imagine I’d have to drill some holes in the sides of the enclosure for ventilation, but it’d be nice to have her in an enclosure that keeps in the humidity better than her current screen enclosure does.
Any advice, tips or concerns are welcome!

I haven’t kept many chams…but maybe some Ideas offhand.
I’ve seen some modifications done to glass enclosures… So I don’t think PVC would be too different.
I read somewhere that PVC surfaces can be affected by UV over time so I’m not sure how that would affect Chams… But also I would think you would have to keep most of the inside spaces covered in decor or a background to let them grip to it and climb to reduce stress of trying to climb a smooth wall as much as possible.
Maybe consider some computer fans to help keep air flowing in and out as well since obviously you won’t want the air to stagnate and the humidity to cause bacteria buildup in there.
