Python breeding advice

First time breeder here. I recently noticed my female ball ovulate. My question is once ovulation happens are eggs guaranteed or can the follicles still be absorbed at that stage?
She shed about 2 weeks after the ovulation which im assuming is a pre-lay but again this is my first year so im not sure what to expect

They can still be reabsorbed at that stage.
Ovulation is the follicle leaving the ovaries. They don’t have shells yet so they can go either way. The shed cycle can still happen regardless as well.

If you palpate her 2 weeks after the shed and the bumps are larger, then you very likely have eggs on the way. They will typically lay between 30-45 days after the shed, but some have been known to go longer or even have a 2nd shed before laying.
