As I’ve posted in a couple places now, I just got my first tarantula the other day (brachypelma smithi). It’s a small juvenile. I’m not sure about house size for it. Here’s a picture of its current setup:
Is it too small? I set up the bin under it as well because I wasn’t sure when it arrived which would be best, so I could re-house it into that one if need be.
Absolutely! When they are slings, you want them in somewhat smaller enclosures so that you can kinda keep track of them. Just make sure there is some depth to the substrate as most all slings like to dig burrows.
That looks like a great enclosure size for that tarantula. And given how slow-growing that species is, it will probably last you a good long while before your T needs an upgrade.
