Hello!
I have a question I am hoping someone can answer!
I have been having a hard time finding one really comprehensive guide to Hognose Morphs. I have been able to figure out mostly everything I have needed to know but I ran across a couple morphs I wasn’t familiar with and couldn’t find any information on.
Can anyone tell me about the Mercury, Shadow, Chocolate, Shanklin and Mocha morphs? What distinguishes them from other morphs? Are they other morphs under different names?

Welcome aboard!
Mercury - double recessive Lavender Axanthic
Shadow - dominant trait with black bordered saddles
Chocolate - Swiss Chocolate is a recessive that seems similar to Sable and I don’t think it has been tested against a Sable yet (see https://www.facebook.com/blackhogs.blackhogs)
Shanklin - never heard of it but Charles Shanklin might know (https://www.facebook.com/hognose.farm/)
Mocha - dominant trait with dark brown with large saddles that almost touch the belly
I highly recommend Kevin Rhodes’ book from last year, though I am not sure how to order it other than contacting him on FaceBook. There is also a FB group that has done a lot of work to catalogue morphs and combos right here: https://www.facebook.com/hognosemorphs/
Hope this helps some!
