Based in Texas, I have dedicated my passion to breeding and preserving some of the most unique boa locales, including Honduran Firebellies, Panamanians, Liberian Costa Ricans, and many others. My goal is to provide high-quality, well-socialized boas that showcase the incredible diversity of this amazing species.

I currently work with
Honduran FireBelly boas
Panamanian boas
Liberian costa rican
Suriname
Columbian Barranquilla

And i have as personal pets, Rough-Scaled Python, reticulated python, and texas indigo snake.

Lets take a look at a few of them…

Awesome collection! I think the costa ricans, or maybe the barranquilla (I can’t decide :joy:), are my favorite. While you are sharing, let’s see that Texas Indigo?

Seriously @ashenscalez Ash! Where in the heck have you been for so long! Stellar and stunning are the first 2 words that come to mind when describing these animals!!!

Very hard to pick a favorite but the Texas Indigo is hands down number one for me following with the Costs Ricans. I have heard that indigos are quite intelligent and they like to interact with their keeper. Is this true by chance? I had thought about purchasing one but I never followed up on it……:weary:

Hi Ash,

Very nice collection of pure locality boas.
Thank you for keeping localities pure it’s nice to see that. Loved your website very informative. Wish you the best of luck with all your breeding. It’s nice to see you are trying to keep Bob Futo’s Suriname line going. He was a friend of mine back in the 80. Very nice guy with one of the best collections of Suriname back then.

Take care
Tom

I dont have any nics, but those are fantastic snakes. My Indigo os very very smart and always watching, he will scope and ask to come out and ive fed him via puzzle feeder before. So yes that is true!

That means the world to me, yes Futos animals were amazing a shame I never got to meet him. The futo surinames are my favorites, i plan to get a pure futo female for my male later this year.

Oops! I meant Costa Ricans! I edited my post! I apologize!

Puzzle feeding?! I am totally blown away! I got to see and hold some retics, tegus and Ackies today so I thought my bucket list was complete. But oh not so! I am adding a TX Indigo!!!

Yeah the costa ricans are great , i have a trio, but one male is leaving once auction is done. They are fantastic snakes and truly cannot wait to produce some babies.

Well I can’t wait to see what you produce! I’m so excited to see these boas here! I never new the difference in the retic and the boa or even the Burmese. Most boas finally settle but retics are on the move constantly!

What kind of temperament do the CRs have?

The two im keeping ar every calm , the male im letting go is very very defensive so im hoping breeding the two calm ones together produces calm babies. But temperament is very mixed some are sweet others are “the devil”

Well of course that makes sense. Temperament varies from animal to animal. I have a Woma python that’s a pure puppy dog. But I have read that womas can be a pain to handle.

Anyhoo don’t be a stranger Ash!

I have noticed over the years my tame breeder have given me tame babies. My simi aggressive breeders give me babies i need to work with more to tame them down. Even my veterinarian says i must have tame genetics in my boas.

Yeah ive heard that before from multiple people. Its a shame though he is stunning nearly black in places bur he just doesnt fit in and It empties an enclosure to bring in a female Suriname in a few.
