Red factor in caramels?

Does the caramel morph hide the red factor when it eliminates reds, even if you know it is genetically present? Or will there be a red wash over the yellow/brown snake?

I look forward to an answer as well.

Lol great question! No idea. I have deliberately avoided those crosses. Might turn out to produce something surprisingly beautiful, like RF with Lavender. Might turn out that Caramel masks RF as it sadly does with Peach (which I am still quite sad about).

Does that cryptic remark mean you’re potentially expecting an answer, Dean?

If you’re asking whether I have that combo in the works, then no.

I don’t have an easy time spotting RF in a lot of morphs. And I do have quite a bit of Caramel. So I really am curious!

That’s what I was asking. I knew that you’re a fellow Caramel fan. Just wondered if this was one of the projects burbling in your collection.

Looks like another rabbit hole of breeding trials I could go down…after all, SOMEONE has to figure out the answer. Haha.

Maybe they’d just look like topazes, which disappeared while I was out of the hobby for a decade. Such an awesome combo, Lava + Caramel. I’d definitely like to make some again.
