Description: The Dark Angel is a colour and pattern morph isolated by Millz at Reptile Pit. This gene has a deep melanin colour that creates iridescence on dark morphs like no other single gene animal. The pattern on the Dark Angel is mainly saddles with some hooks and keys running on the dorsal.
Appearance; What it does/looks like?
- Head: Black with blushing on the sides
- Body: Dark iridescence with saddle pattern with hooks and keys on the dorsal
- Belly: Clear white
- Tail: Stripe on the dorsal
Proven Lines: Super form has been created
Related Genes: None
Proven: To what degree it is proven out to not just be polygenic? Super form has been created proving it’s not polygenic.
Unique: Why do you believe this is a new morph and not an existing one? I have isolated the single gene and proven it to be Codom and produced a Super Form.
Problems: Any problems? None
History: The history behind its discovery? The original specimen came from a very dark Blackhead from Ralph Davis in 2012 which I managed to isolate after breeding her several times and have worked on producing Super Form to know that the gene is Codom. I have mixed it with other dark genes such as Blackhead and Leopard which have created some super dark animals with an elegant iridescence running through them.
