Can anyone identify morph of this young corn snake. We adoptedger today. We named her Butters.
Looks to me to be at least Stripe. Calling in @caryl @solarserpents @deanaii for further opinions.
First of all, absolutely gorgeous, second of all, definitely think she’s just a normal stripe since I don’t see any fancy head stamps, no overly red or yellow colors, and she’s definitely not albino. Still gorgeous
Congratulations on the new addition! You’re in for some fun.
It’s hard to say for certain from these photos. I agree that it looks to have Stripe. In the first picture on your shoulder, the coloring looks like potentially a Caramel Stripe. They can be very light, golden brown. The second image looks like a Classic Stripe. Can’t see the dorsal and lateral markings clearly enough to give an opinion on of Tessera is in the mix. (Paradoxically, Tessera “cleans up” margins when combined with Stripe and/or Motley.)
When you’ve given it a chance to settle, if you get some pics in natural light, we can give you a better idea. Outdoors or near a window when it’s a bit cloudy or overcast is usually best for true color. Congratulations again, and welcome to the community!
Great help, yes, I will update with better pictures in a few days. There are not many markings. It doesn’t really matter to me what she (best guess female)is; her personality is fun, docike and curious. My first snake. My partner had ball pythons years ago both male and female.
She’s a lovely creature, to be sure!
Looks to be a pretty Stripe with normal coloration.
Here are a few more. Her underside is a white/off white with no markings. It really does not matter to me. I’m just happy to provide a home. Butters is pretty active and seems to enjoy her enclosure.
I agree with stripe. Very pretty!
Oh, nice! Your pretty Stripe Butters has lots of fun stuff to clamber around over. She’ll have fun doing that and you’ll have fun watching her. I have a soft spot for Stripes.
