I got my hognose about 2.5 years ago. Now, I’ve read a lot of times that females are supposed to become a meter or 30-40 inches long. She was sold to me as a female.
But now she’s still just half that length.
Anyone can help me determine the sex?
Thx!

That is a perfect example of a female tail. Females have a shorter length and quick taper after the cloaca. Whereas males are 2-3 times longer and stay the same thickens for the full length.
Some females grow slower. I have one that didn’t reach her max size until 5y and she’s still smaller than another girl I have.

Yup, female tail.
Just because someone slaps a general size guide on them doesn’t mean they always stick to that label. Reptiles can grow at all different rates. I don’t personally work with hognoses atm, but with my BPs I have a female that is 1/3 the size of her sister clutchmate. Her brothers are all double her size. She’s just taking her time.
