I always used to brumate my corn snakes to prepare for breeding. I pretty much considered it essential, especially for male sperm production. But after being skeptical about it, I tried no-bru and have had great results with it. Ovulation can be triggered by heavy feeding when days start really lengthening in mid February.

I’ve heard so many people say different things about brumation before. Some people saying they always do it and it’s necessary and others never needing to do it. Thanks for thinking input!

I think there are species that benefit from it beyond reproduction. I do brumate my rosy boas as it’s recommended.
