Shedding and going into blue

My female champagne didnt get pink belly from what i saw, but her eyes do look like shes in shed, she also didn’t look dull to me. Does she look like shes going into blue? And are there any other reasons their eyes start looking like this ?

Her eyes definitely look blue which indicates that the shedding is in process. She will probably turn a dull color soon. As far as a pink belly goes, I don’t notice any of my bps getting pink bellies. I just go by the blue eyes and dullness.

Your girl is fine.

She didn’t eat the other day and now i know why lol. I was nervous i messed up somehow. Happy that it might be just because shes going into shed

Yup! You should see a shed within the next couple weeks or so. Nature is taking its course.

Yup, just shed process. Sometimes you can miss the worst of the pink belly.

There are things that can affect the eye and make them look hazy as well, but there are other symptoms to it as well. Massive swelling of the eye and haziness can be something like a blocked tear duct. Or haziness only in the pupil can be a cataract.

So yeah, no worries for this little noodle

I would like to add that especially with lighter snakes like yours sometimes the “going into blue” indicators that appear on darker snakes will not appear on yours. I have a few pretty light snakes and a BEL Ball Python and it can be very hard to tell sometimes when they are going into blue.
Just as a heads up if you ever notice your BP beahving differently

I feel bad. I was holding her yesterday and she was probably so uncomfortable with that. I’m excited to see how she sheds though to affirm i got humidty right for her.

Get to just hang out in a hide all day. That would be nice. I get ball pythons wanting to be away from everything lol

The only way i can tell with my albino most of the time is when he starts missing his food completley when he strikes i feel ya on accidently handling when they r in the shed process its hard to tell with them being so light in color

I hope i didn’t make her too uncomfortable. I want her to tolerate me as much as a snake can tolerate a human lol

They will deffinitly let u know if they r to uncomfortable lol as long as good experiences outweigh bad ones depending on ur snake some wont care and some care a lot she should still tolerate u as u put it most we can do is try to avoid the bad experiences as much as we can but we r only human mistakes happen

If she didn’t behave differently, you need not worry. The advice about not handling them when they’re in shed is partly due to the fact that the skin is a bit more delicate at this time. If it’s damaged, this can cause problems with shedding. It’s also partly because some snakes really do want to be left alone when they’re in shed. Normal, gentle touch won’t hurt her. Her behavior will let you know if she’s a “don’t handle me now” individual.

It can be really tricky to tell when lighter animals are going into a shed cycle. I don’t recommend intentionally doing handling session then but if you miss the signs, don’t stress about your gentle handling making her physically uncomfortable. So far as we understand, it doesn’t.

She shed in one piece and i made sure the eye caps came off. I feel a little accomplished that she had a good shed
