Ohhh I wanna preface this with saying that Pesto is not Axanthic from any of the known lines (proven through shed testing), however I had the slightest inclination that he was when I got him…

I’ll let the photos speak for themselves, he is crazy dark for just a Clown het Piebald

There has been discussion that he is Carbon…

This was him as a baby when @chesterhf had him

So definitely not Axanthic  but dang does he look close enough!

If you didn’t show him as a baby, I would say it was axanthic! :joy::ok_hand::exploding_head:

I had someone who bought a sibling from the clutch who swore up and down that Pesto was axanthic until I showed him a baby photo and then he didn’t believe me that it was the same snake

Here’s my VPI axanthic het pied. She’s a sweetie.

Bonus … Her adorable pewter het VPI daughter who I believe missed on het pied but looks like may have also picked up sandblast

I do have 2 oddballs though. I’m going to look into crossing them into VPI soon so I can get their darks into it and hopefully get some beautiful dark morph VPIs.

I have a leopard girl I picked up because I had never seen one as dark as her in person. She looked axanthic to me when I first saw her at a repticon table. But as far as the breeder knows, she’s just Leopard het pied.

This gal was picked up as a Black Pastel possible paradox. She has some neat black smudges along her neck. She’s also pastel…and doesn’t look like it at all.

He’s browning out a bit as an adult. Younger pic. His whole clutch was pretty amazing. Spotnose Fire Ax + makes for some cool combos
