Show Off Your Cresties 🤩

Well yesterday was a very interesting day! I was moving the eggs onto a gutter guard in my incubating cups to keep the off of the direct moss. There was one really big egg and I was hoping it might have twins and hatch soon. So, I tried candling it and was able to see details like the tail and individual toes. I made sure the flashlight wasn’t getting too hot and it was barely getting warm. And then while I had it in my hand it exploded, and egg goo got on my face and arms. I figured it was dead but then a little head poked out! I was able to contain the gecko and even handle it for a little bit before it went in its new home. It looks similar to the other one, I’ll add pictures on Friday. I’m sure I forced the baby out early so I’m hoping it survives. I added lots of crumpled up paper towels as cover until I can get something better. So now I have a WARNING Contents Under Pressure sign on my incubator. I was not planning to get 6 geckos in 6 days.
