Bloody hell, you’ve had no luck recently!
And Don’t ‘estimate’ weight when it comes to weight… Especially if an adult…
And the little one looks good size for 3g. Some honestly are big but are just light in weight! I had a hatchling come out at 3g Biggest one I’ve had hatch size wise. Usually they’re 2 and sometimes 1.
Also give male a month to settle in anyway, if getting late I always wait atleast a month for them to settle
Was the male never handled if scared then?
And my garg arrived yesterday in shed. Just happens sometimes and nothing to worry about! Just them deciding to shed at the wrong time
Those look great! Does the what looks like a peperomia scandens do well in crestie enclosures? I have a good size one that I could prop for an enclosure.
Only have a face photo when she was really fired up, haven’t done much handling of her yet!! She fires up very dark, I’m interested to see if that changes as she grows out, only around 11g atm. She’s a carbon copy of her Mum fired down so I will find the parents photo!
Managed to get the shed off the little one. She looks bigger in photos than in real life, she’s smaller than my pinky it’s insane. Looking at photos of others she’s about the size of most 1 month old geckos. Seller claimed she was born last July… Thankfully bought her to grow out so it’s no drama at all, was just scary having such a tiny baby and with shed issues on its tail of all places! Doing really well now though, I have spent 20mins a day introducing it to different pangea flavours and little one ate by itself last night. Using bottle lids as it’s too small for my actual feeding cups!
And the lovely Celebrían. Completely unbothered by any of the move, eating like a trooper and just being such a great gecko to handle. Wondering if her babies will be as chilled as her!
One of my Cresties, Snowball, spent ages at 3g. She arrived at 4 months old, she stayed 3g for a further 4 months! I was so worried! But now she is 1 and a bit years old, weighs 30g & eats like crazy.
But most of my Cresties grow quicker then Snowball did.
I wonder if Cresties will inherit behaviour, would be so cool. Not for Milkyway’s offspring because he sleeps upsidedown
I have a few Cresties settling into their final enclosures, some are doing better than others.
Which means handling and pics have been limited recently but it’s bug night tonight or tomorrow so I’m hoping to get some pics then.
I also decided to pair Milkyway & Kona. I know it’s a little early but my girlies have been digging and Milkyway has been at the glass to get to the girlies so thought I’d give it a go.
Was a bumpy start as he was a little too excited, but Kona got dominance over him and he soon relaxed. I haven’t seen a lock, but I left them to it.
I did have a camera on them, not enough to see a lock but enough to know if there is an issue.
So hopefully will have some eggs from this pair soon
Yes, I’d like to breed her. With my orange tiger possibly, but not sure. The other male is brownbased pinstripe harlequin and I know pin + harli isn’t the best mix. This is what he looks like:
