Chilli, my newest Lilly White is the same. I’ve not had a Crestie as skittish as him
I think I need to give him some space from other Cresties (in different enclosures but visible to him). However he doesn’t seem bothered by them, his just petrified of me
@ghoulishcresties thats so good to know! I didn’t know once they laid infertile it was game over! One of my girls is laying infertile, I think it’s Dahlia as we’ve not had more Harley babies. Which is so sad, because Hershey and Chalupa are my fave. Some of the babies have light brindles which may be from Lily, but I know the patternless are coming from Mad-Eye.
Speaking of the ladies: the new a/c has been keeping the bedroom nice and chilly, so we turned the pads back on. I present, the ladies crowding the warm wall. There’s plenty of other spots, so idk why they did this.
Tiny is ours. He dropped his tail when I went to catch him. I make Matt take them out now. he’s really good at it. Chalupa was running under furniture during cleaning (that one’s got legs on him,) and Matt had him in like 5 seconds.
He’s trained Evy how to climb a staircase type thing he made out of the reptavines so she can climb out into my hand. She LOVES IT. She wasn’t a Leo who climbed until recently, and now I’m on Etsy trying to find her more enrichment.
Chilli escaped the other week, hubby and I had to pull the rack apart to get him. My first escapee, all I did was spray his enclosure
Handling him will be difficult as school holidays now and his way to skittish to get out when boys are around (they are noisey).
I’ve been trying to handle him in his enclosure but his still not liking me. I was hoping to pair him to strawberry next year but she is so chill I feel like they won’t even meet if I put them together lol
When are you planning to pair marshmallow? Any ideas who you want to pair her to?
Also, so you guys remember the interesting eggs I got from my crestie Brownie that I posted last week? Well I put them in the incubator to see what would happen. Then this came up last night… Never seen these colors before! Any ideas??
Yeah I assumed mold. But goodness gracious those colors!! When I saw them I had mixed feelings. On one hand, I’ll have to wait longer to see what babies come out of the pairing. On the other, it was really pretty mold!!
I haven’t been able to weigh him, other than when I first got him as his such as pain. He eats well, but won’t eat insects.
I’m hoping that if I put strawberry in there then he might calm down, but I need to weigh him first as he was a little low when I got him but that’s something I want going to do until next year.
My only other option is to see if he would be happier in a smaller home, temporary of course. Worked with a few others. It’s my quarantine enclosure, but I knew I wanted 2 gecko so set his up ready straight away.
