I’m currently in college and I won’t graduate/get my own apartment until May 2024 
Realistically, the strict no pet policy isn’t very strict, there are so many secret cats in my building and I have secret snails and secret frogs, but the temperature isn’t very consistent in the building.
The frogs are fine with the temperature range, but I’m not 100% sure a crestie would be…
As long as you have sufficient heat source for the enclosure and temps aren’t too drastic then Cresties are usually pretty hardy little creatures. But I can understand the frustration of waiting. I had to wait many many years before breeding Cresties because it just wasn’t the right time. But was so worth the wait.

Exactly! Better safe than sorry, I don’t wanna cause a little fella any stress bc of my unstable living conditions (+ moving home every 15 weeks then back again, and so on).
But you’re so right! In all this extra time I’m making my plans, collecting a list of breeders I would trust/buy from, researching making my own wood/glass enclosures, researching bioactive vivs and small businesses to buy from, etc. It’s a blast, and it gives me a fun yet productive thing to work on when school is making me mad.
Plus, I’ve gotten so into it that I’ve started making these research sheets for other reptiles I want to keep 
so far my crestie sheet is the most complete at like 27 pages, but I have WIP sheets for ABW tegu, BCI, bullsnakes, hognoses, and vietnam blue beauty rat snakes and my future ones include axolotls and false water cobras.
These 2 years of waiting won’t be wasted!
I just hope keeping exotic reptiles is still accessable and legal by the time I finally get there
