Got our first baby frogbut yesterday.
Not sure what happened, but I introduced crickets last week and I think a cricket scared it I can’t be sure as happened when I wasn’t looking
This Crestie is so light compared to the other Lilly whites from this pairing and currently a hold back, poor thing was so disorientated without it’s tail.
I cannot find the tail will need to strip enclosure apart but didn’t want to stress the little one out anymore than it already was.
Hopefully pic loads okay

Little bugger!
Had to be the Lilly
May of eaten the tail as they do wriggle about after for a bit so maybe he ate himself… 🫣😂

I hadn’t thought about that lol serves me right for feeding them insects lol note they think everything that moves is food
I thought it might of been it’s clutch mate as they are housed together but they seem fine. I was thinking of separating them but I like the social aspect, I’m sure they don’t care but I thought it might help, should they be housed in groups when they are older.
I upgraded my first clutch of babies to a bio-active enclosure yesterday. Still in the somngmics box (previous enclosure I did).
Hopefully no more tails come off at least I missed the wriggle

But they’re SO CUTE! We all know I love the frogbutts. I’m so happy you missed the wriggle.

We’ve been down with COVID, so it’s been wild here.
We took Hershey and Storm out tonight. Try to guess why I’m so upset.
Storm has some red spots! He always tries to attack me through the enclosure while I’m sitting on the bed. But super chill when out.

I don’t mind a frogbut, I just don’t understand what happened and the poor lil one is slightly disorientated without it. But it will learn
Hershey is a he?

Yup. MY ONE FEMALE. I was so mad. He’s also the first to pop. I noticed it a few weeks ago, but was hoping it was a poo.
Nope.

I’ve had my crestie for nearly two years now and he’s yet to drop his tail. I got him when he was about a year old so it’s been three years total and he still hasn’t dropped. And I don’t live in a quiet or calm house. I guess for whatever reason some cresties are just more inclined than others to drop.

^^^same. I’m always convinced Kain (lumpy boy) is gonna drop his. None of the adult females have tails because the breeder apparently had a boatload of cresties in the viv that he didn’t know what to do with.
Aaaand then there’s Tiny. Who dropped his tail after launching himself to the floor. Hershey and Fudge were in the viv with the adult females before we found them, so I lucked out.
But one of the dogs will bark directly next to enclosures, and nothing. It’s really more to chance I think.

I’ve been plant shopping like it’s my job. Already propagating this beauty to put in enclosures.
I’ve also got loads of pothos to start putting live plants in Kain’s enclosure. I’ve got a small pot full of the props I already had to put in and I might just put the pot directly into the viv.
Lily’s colouring always makes me happy.

I do agree that it’s more pot luck. My red Lilly White is threatening to throw his tail everyone I go near him.
His got such great lineage but he hates me
I’m hoping to move his enclosure away from the other geckos to see if that’s Part of the issue.
I have two young children (one is autistic) and a husband. We have a VERY noisy household! Most the geckos don’t care though, they are in a quiet part of the house, however my youngest runs past the enclosures screaming in joy or anger several times a day lol
Loving the plants

We were up with the remnants of the hurricane last night (there was no damage or anything, just wound up after a white-knuckle drive from my BFF’s while I was helping her with zoo/plant maintenance. Also excited that her husband has an isopod ARMY that I’m getting to take from.
ANYWHO!
Strawberry, May, and of course Storm, came out for a bit last night.
May is looking like some portholes are incoming! May had a blast jumping around on the pothos props in the coffee mug.
Strawberry! Not bad considering it was like, 3AM with no lights and dark mode on my phone.
I thought I’d taken pictures of Stormy, but I guess I didn’t. Today we are doing cage maintenance so hopefully more pictures incoming. I’m so pleased the kids are finally plumping up. They go mad for wax worms, but I’m trying to decide what bugs to give on the regular. How many do y’all feed at a time?

Such lovely colours
I can’t say I count crickets I put in, I just sort of pour some in?
I pour the crickets into a fly cup and add the calcium powder then I go about tipping them into all the vivs
