I’ve wanted a lavender for a while, but it’s been hard to get ahold of one. So many have been advertised, but not actually lavender :pensive: but then I find that with a lot of Cresties anyway 🤷

Always the case.
It’s why I’m still deciding on keeping ‘tiny’ back since she’s actually a lavender…

Do you have a recent picture of her?

Whoah those are very pretty photos! He looks just like a leaf! I’d be afraid of losing him if he were mine :joy: I’m sure he enjoyed being outside for a bit though!

She is amazing :heart_eyes::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::star_struck:

So jealous

I’m not buying geckos ATM but if you ever decide to sell her, please put me at the top of the list :crossed_fingers:don’t tell hubby though

She’s pretty for sure.
I’m unsure why so hard to produce them… I’m wondering if pairing her to a light male would help produce more of them?
Shame Harolds babies were playing up. Though I want to say his latest clutch hatched with no issues!! So 2 healthy babies, small but healthy 🥲

He’s with Reece’s friend living his best life
And his friend also took on 2 of our tangerine last week, they were the ones born like pumpkin with some lumps and bumps. Both doing well with him

I think lavender look amazing, I’m not sure about how easy it is to breed them, But I see a lot of non lavender Cresties being advertised as lavender.

One day I’d like to breed 2 lavenders together to see the probability but I have too many one days that it might not happen :pensive: Esp with limited space and no lavender in my collection yet lol

I definitely see you growing your collection in the future. Just believe for it, trust me, I have seen it happen.

They’re just not easy to hatch out I assume. Though apparently reds are hard to hatch out, yet Akiras clutch, both were red. Barbs 3 red and Dolly’s 2 red. I’ve been told I was very lucky there as doesn’t happen?!
Going to see how she gets on with growing and if I have the right Male for her when she’s grown (light ideally) at the time will see if she produces anymore!

Thanks, right now space is limited with no room for expansion in the near future so plan is to keep it small with breeding, but my super long term goal is to turn a room or to build an outhouse just for cresties. Don’t tell hubby though

I won’t breed unless I know I have room for all the offspring throughout their lives, just incase I keep them all

With reds I know it is dependant on lineage, if red is strong in the lineage then that is suppose to up the odds. Which is why I REALLY want strawberry to get up to weight, she’s about 43g so not far off it.

But I haven’t seen much on lavenders.

Who are the parents of her again?

Haise and Harley (no longer have) but I have Crackers who is Nan to Tiny.
