I’ve seen many yawns over the years, but never when I had my phone out. I did once take a picture of a breeding pair drinking water at the same time. Don’t know where that photo went.

This pair is always together during the breeding season, always in the same part of the enclosure and usually on top of each other or intertwined. Some might say they are “bonded,” but I wouldn’t go that far. They have been each other’s only mates for the last 5 years. They were paired 4 times, and it looks like they will soon have their third litter.

Love the yawn! My avatar pic is of my sand boa, Phoebe, yawning. I lucked out and happened to catch and photograph it within a day of getting her…which was lucky, because I haven’t managed to catch another snake yawn on camera since. :joy:

This is TOOOOOO cute! I have some pics of two of our big ole’ breeding Red Tails snuggling as I type this, but I hesitate to cross forums :grinning:. I LOVE this drinking pic, tho, and am totally going to keep my eyes out for our Rosies doing this once we pair them up. Thx for posting! This totally made me smile!

I was just thinking part of me wants Rosys to become more popular ( and im likely making a biased statement here ) because i really feel they are under-rated.

Part of me wants it to be small so it is more unique and IMO more special. (Perhaps others who keep “less popular” or rarer animals can relate).

Im sure many people keep Rosys that don’t interact here or perhaps use MorphMarket but not to the extent of say Ball Pythons or other snakes.

I know I’d definitely say it’s a great child friendly beginner snake. I think some people hear the word snake and picture of a huge behemoth breed. I told a friend of mine i have 3 Rosys they were like omg that’s so scare, then they saw my Rosy and were like “is that it? They are pretty small” im pretty sure they thought it was going to like a huge python.

Its a Limburg Albino. Rosy boas are definitely underrated. I also recommend them as 1st time snakes… althO not everyone agrees. One of the 1st snakes I got to hang out with when I was a little kid was a big rosy…named Rosy that a friend of my parents had. Definitely one of the many reasons I fell in love with snakes.
