You think we should tell her that she’s officially outgrown being able to hide under that fern?

Ok so no judge on the trash pile in the pic, this was at my old apartment and i was going through my junk drawers and just generally cleaning in prep for my move with my lil buddy out for company.
In my house i let my snakes free roam under supervision, but there are certain places that are dubbed ‘no no zones’ which generally tend to be all of the places that my snakes naturally want to go to the most, reason and safety be damned. Examples being under the oven. In the crack between the bed and the wall. Underneath their like 300lb combined cage stand, and my personal favorite, between the top of a siblings enclosure and the underside of the shelf to the next level above them.
Then i have to juggle another snake while also attempting to retrieve the first one. A feat that has taken years off of my life, I’m sure.
When a free roaming snake approaches a no no zone, I usually just remove them slightly outside of it as many times as it takes for them to make a different decision and that seems to work.

This picture was taken of José moments before his swift attempt to ensconce himself away in a no no zone. You cannot convince me that is a face of anything other than pure mischief.

Finnley (Black Eyed Lucy Ball Python) having a grand time exploring this tree which is obviously here for him to climb. (don’t worry the lights are cool LEDs and he was supervised. Had a heck of a time convincing him to come out again though, he loved this!)

I feel like this needs a caption…

She looks very calm, but this was taken while she was bolting everywhere except back in her cage :joy:

What species is that? So cute!

She is a fishscale gecko, specifically Geckolepis typica. They are very charming but also very flighty!
