Help!!!
Im currently in the process of setting up a bioactive enclosure for a cresed gecko.
I decided to convert an IKEA cabinet into an enclosure, so i initially used silicone to seal any gaps.
I have since done the background (with a different and aquarium safe silicone)
I have just noticed that the silicone i used to seal the cabinet contains mould inhibitors (specifically 4,5-Dichloro-2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one), i didnt use loads but im unsure what to do now.
The background covers most of it, is that safe?
Should i remove the bits that are still visible?
Can i just cover it with the safe silicone?
Id also like to add that this enclosure has been a very slow work in progress, i sealed the cabinet about 4 months ago. Could it be fine because its been so long?
