Snails on MM?

Just a quick question: with the expansion of MM into aquatics and plants, as well as the expansion of the existing invert options, I was wondering if snails (aquatic and/or terrestrial) will become part of the MM ecosystem?

The big reason I figure they aren’t already is that with the risk of invasive species, I know states have restrictions on shipments of snails, but many species on MM are restricted in various states, so I’m not sure if that is a deterrent to not sell them at all?

Just curious!

There aren’t just state laws, but also federal laws against shipping snails across state lines as many species are considered plant pests. Any of those would require a USDA permit to be moved. If snails were added, there would have to be some sort of oversight/restriction as to what is allowed to be listed/sold, and people knowledgable enough to flag anything that could be a problem. Might make it a bit more difficult to add, but not necessarily impossible.

This is what I figured, I was shopping on Etsy for snails and ran into a LOT of sate line issues, so it does seem like probably an annoyance for MM to factor in

There are a lot of animals sold on morph that technically are regulated and not suppose to be shipped across state line without USDA permits …they still are… That’s on the seller rather then MorphMarket

That was my thought as well - a lot of animals requiring permits or special licenses (hots, some cases of native herps, etc) are still sold with the responsibility falling on both the seller and buyer to make sure they are both in the clear legally, so I guess that was my train of thought for snails too
