Hi, I’m new here. So sorry if this isnt explained well. I can take better pictures once everyone is out of their shell. I was sold a male that was claimed to be spider enchi pastel lesser. And I bred him with a Mojave and a fire. I think I was told the wrong genes on the male. The top is the Mojave clutch and the bottom is the fire clutch. The first one out on top looks like a banana Mojave to me? The one on the bottom looks like spider enchi but I don’t know what it’s black and white? Unfortunately this baby did not make it. I found him limp out of the egg. His siblings seem okay though. Any ideas? Or is it yo early to tell?
It’s too early to tell. Wait until they shed because A LOT of color comes in after they shed. A pastel lesser spider will look axanthic at hatch and then start coloring up to tan after shed.
Photos of the parents as well can help better with an ID, but at a glance I see pastel lesser on top and pastel lesser spider on bottom.
Thank you I will post more once they’re out and shed.
It would also help for identifying them if you can post pictures of the parents of the clutch, the male and the female, so that we can see if the parents are correctly IDed and/or what else might be there.
The Mojave mother looks a bit suspicious to me. She looks more mystic or very low expression Mojave, but it could just be a need for better lighting like indirect sunlight and seeing her stretching out.
The male and fire look right to me.
We’ll see what Kayla says too for confirmation
She would not hold still. I can get a better picture of the Mojave when I get back home.
Okay, definitely Mojave. The lighting in these photos show her color much better
Mojave mother looks correct. The fire mother is not fire, but rather pastel (browned out). Dad looks roughly correct but I’m not the best at identifying other genes with spider.
That’s actually better for me. I’d rather have super pastels than lesser fires.
I can take better pictures later. They’ve all shed
