Hey i have two common snappers…i have them in a 75 gallon both babies about 4 inches each…i went out of town for week came back one of them had turned like egg shell white i thought maybe she had been dead and was decaing but when i open tank she was super active she still eats like pig but she turned completely white but is acting normal and very healthy…any ideas what it could be??
It could be a hard water issue or high chlorine.
I’d preform a freshwater water test or take a sample from your water into a pet store and they often test for free.
Does it feel slimy? It could also be a fungal infection.
Post some pics of the setup and of the animal. They ought to help us identify what’s going on
