So I’m planning on going herping and i know the many species in SoCal Rubers, Cal kings, Gophers, etc. And I was wondering are they any snakes in fall/winter? I think yes because in SoCal we don’t get snow unless in the mountains. I would think therye under boards instead of roaming out and basking. Thanks!
I would think they would be brumating soon. You likely wouldn’t find much in winter but if you look soon you might be able to find something.
