It she was a he you could call him The Hurdy Gurdy Man like the song!
Awwwww. I wish little Oboe all the best! He is very handsome!
These babies are making me wait for sheds! I was so sure several would have shed overnight last night, but nope! This little cutie, Vuvuzela shed this afternoon.
They’re totally precious, Olivia! If it were me, I would have a rough time selecting holdback from this bunch. I know a lot of thought and work and plans for the future go into those decisions, but golly gee - it’s going to be tough!
One more shed down! Didgeridoo, shatter. I love this baby! She tied herself in a knot around my thumb.
Awww, that’s just too adorable!
Maybe some of the decisions about who’s staying with you won’t be so tough after all.
Ha! Is that ever the case?
You always need one more female shatter
I was looking at the first set of pics, admiring Kazoo’s richness, Ukelele’s glow, and Fife’s fun pattern. Then I scrolled down and burst out laughing. So glad you survived that horrific attack!
Shatter’s my favorite morph, but I love Kazoo!
And Glockenspiel! This is the meanest baby so far. Lots of flailing, musking, and biting! I’m glad most of them grow out of it.
One more shatter shed. This little guy has higher contrast than the others and I love it! And he’s sweet!
So gorgeous…man, I am going to need a shatter sometime Olivia.
Oooh, he is sweet all right! In every sense of the word.
Well there’s only 5! Haha, you’d be more than welcome to one from this clutch.
Fresh shed from Mandolin, who is popping female. She’s much lighter and lower contrast than Dulcimer, the higher contrast one. I wasn’t sure if I was imagining things or not, so I took them out together and it’s definitely not just in my mind. I wonder if it’s a sex-linked difference? I don’t consider popping this early to be 100% accurate, but I’d say my accuracy before first meals is probably about 80-90%. So I’ll be popping all the females several more times after they get eating and gain a few grams for the most accurate result.
Interesting! It looks to me like Mandolin has a noticeably different ground color, not just lighter. Maybe it’s the screen, but I think I see a degree of warmth in her grey which I don’t see on Dulcimer. Of course, I have zero idea what that means for their future color development. If it’s even there at all! I think I’ll stop typing before the small degree of sense I might have been making entirely dissappears. Whoa, too late!
Ohhh those shatters are so pretty! If i end up staying in Iowa maybe I’ll see if I can grab one of these…
