Some egg photos spring 2025 + Hatchlings in June

Would you mind showing me how to search that? A link or brief instructions to search the marketplace for what you described? Im not so great with that sort of stuff.
Ive searched on google but cant find much in regards to full and clean stripes expressed in more than 1 offspring within one clutch with no motley, stripe or tessera in the parents. Which are direct SMR descendants.

As for the parents patterns, that’s exactly why i chose that pairing. I thought the results would be interesting.

Ill know more in approximately 45 days, as the female double clutched with 12 more fertile eggs.

Funnily enough, some of the other ones I saw were out of SMR, so that may be part of it! Here’s a link to that search. You can see under genes & traits you can choose which to include/exclude, and then under availability you go with “any”. If you wanted to see that same search narrowed down to SMR animals, that can be found here.

It’s hard to see on my phone too. Click where Jess wrote “Here’s a link.”

“There’s also always the less likely, but still not zero chance there was a hidden het in one or both parents”

If one was secretly het motley, and not the other, do you think that would have any sort of influence? Specifically to the scaleless half of the clutch and not the scaled? I know that a few certain hets will subtlety display visually, but would Motley?

Some believe that a motley het is more likely to have joined saddles at the neck. A “mockley” look.

VeryInteresting.

Top shot. Colors are muted from the flash but a better view. She needs a name… suggestions?

Lol I call them “Notley” if they’ve got more than a couple of joined saddles. It’s not uncommon. I’ve heard some say this as well. I don’t actually agree, though. It hasn’t proven true with mine over the years. I think it’s simply people trying really hard to figure out what alleles are present and wishing for an indication which simply isn’t accurate. It seems like a logical thing, but doesn’t appear to be borne out.

How on earth do I miss all the new posts??? This string is now several months old and I seriously have no idea how I missed it.

These pairings and babies are gorgeous!!! Never been a huge SL fan myself, but Nova is simply stunning. So, so cool.

My son’s first love was a grey banded king snake, but we were never able to find an available one. Such a bummer. My favorite was always the Mexican Black Kings. Sooo, basically I’m in love with your collection. No jealousy over here at all. Haha. (I’m super glad we’ve started with corns for now, though.)

Also glad your MBK momma made it through her egg binding. Whew!

Keep the great photos coming!

I happened to luck out with 7 of Jamin’s beauties! One is a MBK and another one is a scaleless Okeetee!
