Not sure about snakes but in humans a problem absorbing nutrients can be genetic defect, birth defect, gut bacterial issues, injury to gut, age, parasites and many more. There are plenty of reasons.
If she has done this before maybe as you say and your other females have not, she either needs medical scrutiny or maybe and more likely she will never be the best breeder female what ever you do?
Still, it does not necessarily mean the eggs or some will not hatch with care.
If there isn’t a medical solution, I wouldn’t hold back any for future breeding though.
