Terrarium Updates!

My name isn’t Brad. I’m just a huge Ray Bradbury fan and have been using Bradburyesqu on line since AOL. Lol

I’m Jerame. Which is how you spell Jeremy if you did too many drugs in the 60’s

i still remember my families, with the extra long accordion cord! lol

TERRARIUM UPDATE: Kevin has toppled over the large tree in the corner of the tank. Despite my best efforts to hot glue it down, and screw it into the styrofoam with hot glue in the screws. i could just leave it lying the way it is, as it gives more foliage cover, and climbing opportunity. but then it makes the cage feel more cramped than it already is. i do not want to drill into my very nice Apex Cage though. Any suggestions, anyone??

Well, actually you might have a bit too much in there. Snakes do need a certain amount of room to move around in. I know you want everything to look appealing to the eye and I understand that completely. But maybe you could use some of the cage decorations interchangeably. Kind of rearrange things once in a while. That way you look at different things and Kevin can have some different surroundings occasionally so the both of you won’t get bored.

Just a thought.

yeah thats a good idea. especially since i have to take everything out once a month to replace the bedding. eventually i find something that works great for the snake, and is visually appealing to me

Sure! And if you accumulate enough stuff you can do a whole change out at once and then wash everything and switch again the next time!

And if you wanted to get really creative you could seasonal themes……. I think a Halloween setting would be awesome!

Update: Cleaned both setups substrate today and decided to rearrange Darwin’s. I added two hides in the cooler side, fixed the thermostat for the under tank heater in the hot side, glued down some plants to give it some “tree” looking aesthetics. i think he likes it because now he thinks he’s a tree python.

Now that looks really good @b_wess! Darwin definitely seems quite happy! The way you have it set up looks very natural! :+1::heart::blush:

There was a time people thought they couldn’t see the red light. We now know that having red lights on at night have the same effect on their circadian rhythms as having light on 24x7. So whether or not they can see it isn’t really material.
