One of the most remarkable aspects of this community is our ability to embrace a wide range of perspectives and diverse backgrounds, coming together as a unified family. We encourage and welcome participation from individuals of all walks, hops, slithers, or crawls of life. About The Serpentry
The Serpentry is a “small batch” sand boa breeder and creator of handmade crafts for people that love exotic animals. We believe in inclusivity in the exotic animal community! For pride month, we are showing our support for the LGBTQ+ community by hosting a snake giveaway to benefit The Trevor Project. Our goal is to raise $1,000 for The Trevor Project by the end of the month. Can you help us SMASH this goal?

About The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project is the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people.
We are fundraising for The Trevor Project because we believe in their vision to build a world where every LGBTQ young person feels safe, loved, and celebrated. Trevor’s research has found that having at least one accepting adult can reduce an LGBTQ young person’s risk of suicide by 40%.
The Trevor Project provides free, accessible, 24/7 crisis counseling services via phone (TrevorLifeline), instant messenger (TrevorChat), and text (TrevorText) to young LGBTQ people in crisis.

How to Enter our Fundraiser Giveaway!
Please support our fundraiser by making a donation to The Trevor Project today.
Every $5 donated to The Trevor Project using our link is an entry for a chance to win their choice of ONE of the listed prizes. People can earn extra entries by sharing our giveaway posts on social media (just send us proof via IG, FB, or to kate@theserpentry.com). Anonymous donors must send us a screenshot of their donation if they would like to enter, or we cannot contact them.
Additional entries can be earned by sharing our giveaway on IG (please see our IG giveaway post for details).
Rules
Anyone can donate, but you must be a resident of the United States (lower 48 for the snake prize) and 18+ years to enter the giveaway. The drawing for the giveaway will occur on July 1 and the winner will be announced on both Instagram and Facebook. Winner will be notified via the email they used to donate. The prize is a live Kenyan Sand Boa, but the winner may substitute an alternate prize if they do not want a snake (see below for prize options).
This is an ethical giveaway!
Since this is a living animal, the winner MUST demonstrate the ability to properly care for it. We reserve the right to select another winner or substitute another prize if you cannot properly care for a snake.
The winner will be provided with care information, and we are happy to hold your snake until you have everything you need to care for your new pet. Please expect us to have a conversation with you about your husbandry and care plan. We want our snakes to go to good homes.
All shipping expenses will be paid by The Serpentry. The snake will be shipped priority overnight via FedEx to your nearest FedEx hub for pickup on Wednesday or Thursday. We reserve the right to delay shipment for inclement weather/extreme temperatures.

The winner may choose ONE of the following, shipping is included:

A 2022 male anery splash pos het albino Kenyan sand boa (donated by Mark Wittenburg). This little guy is incredibly sweet. Feeds on frozen thawed prey.
2.
A pet only male paradox snow Kenyan sand boa (donated by Monarch Menagerie). He has some neurological issues, but still enjoys a high quality of life. May need a little time to get used to handling. Feeds well on frozen thawed prey.
3.
A custom crochet plushie made by The Serpentry. Pictured is an example of my previous work and a size reference.
4.
A semi-custom hand dyed and printed tote bag AND 12 bars of soap, all made by The Serpentry. Examples below.
