Put these two together and they started out doing the dance and twitch. Then she tried to eat him.
Generally if they make it an hour or two without doing this, you’re good to go. Some pairs I can leave together for a day or two with no issues. Some you have to hold their ‘hands’ the whole time.
If this happens don’t freak out. Separate, feed the female a couple more big meals, try again.

It’s a timely reminder not to get too casual about pairings with some species. It’s not about the human’s level of experience with such things, either. They really can suddenly turn fatal. Good PSA, Don. 
It can definitely get sketchy fast lol. I do water changes and spot cleaning when I pair so I’m in the room for a couple hours until I’m sure it’s all good.
