Am thinking of using a tile underneath my ceramic heater for retaining heat and even heat distribution was thinking of a smooth slate
And not a ceramic tile as my thoughts are this could be dangerous what’s people’s thoughts ?

Putting a tile under the heat source is definitely a good way to provide a nice belly heat location as well as help retain ambient heat. I’ve been trying to find a good deal on slate tiles to put under my radiant heat panels in several of my enclosures.
