'Tis the season | NHC '24

Some little updates: Eggs are at 54 days, should be hatching in 9-11 based on past seasons. So very impatient for these!

Since I only had one clutch, I did pair/re-pair some girls. Nothing too fancy. I’ll post more info on those at a later date, having trouble finding motivation this weekend.

Egg watch is always exciting. And life is often a lot. Looking forward to seeing more when you get around to it. Take care of yourself and enjoy your weekend.

The only egg I’ve ever had do the pre-hatch denting so far:

We are now up to five dented eggs and approximately three days until hatch. Much suspense.

Don’t forget to sniff them!

No pepper-esque scent just yet!

Candling shows there should be around five Snows, the other eight will be Aneries. Still hoping for at least one Ultramel Anery this year.

Not this season. At this point it’s more the opposite, seeing which eggs shrivel the most before hatching. :joy:

Jess, you have got to name the most shriveled egg “Dried” or “Dryer” lol :joy:. @noodlehaus

Yesterday was their due date, no dice. Earlier today when I checked on them I got a whiff of peppers, but every check today absolutely nothing. Went and brushed my teeth, decided to do one last check before bedtime and…

Smallest egg of the clutch decided to be the first one to pip!

Doing things a bit differently this year, so there won’t be any “good” photos until everyone sheds and is moved into baby bins. Keeping the whole clutch together in the incubator (temp has been dropped to mid-upper 70s) for now.
