Tokay gecko pair

Hey!
I absolutely love tokay geckos and after few months of searching for them I got myself my first (and not last) pair!
They are captive bred, around 4 years animals or at least this age was told me when I was purchasing them. They lived in one cage for at least 2 years - no aggression at all.
The female is bigger than the male, sitting at around 118 grams, male 93 - they are 100% opposite sex, the scales are right
They were together all the time, basking, sleeping etc etc. But the male is not calling - at all, and he is smaller than the female. I have them few months now and I didnt hear him at all. I decided to separate them at this moment, to see if the male will start calling, but I don’t know where to go from here. Should I keep them separated or keep them together? What about their size difference? What would be the smartest thing to do at this moment with them?
TIA!

Maybe let them be for now and research what winter is like in their native range. Then late this year separate them for a month or two for a cooling period.
I don’t know a lot about Tokays, although I have kept one. It is possible he doesn’t call because he knows where she is. Or he’s a quiet romantic.
Keep watch on her belly. You should be able to see eggs through her abdomen if she is already carrying.
Best idea is lots of research. And, of course, find an experienced keeper. I may be way off on the brumation thing and they may not need it.

Remember. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

no need to separate them, theyll do their thing. My full grown male hasnt called for years since he was first paired with his female.

So, they were in cooldown period. I separated them for few weeks and they are back together, imitating now the wet season.

I did a lot of research - I currently keep and have first breeding year with leachies, crested, Chahouas, gargoyles and tokays. But is not much information and keepers here.

In the meantime I got connections with some great keepers and breeders but nobody had the situation as me - since I’m 3rd owner of the tokays is harder to navigate what and why. If they will not breed then they will just be - I have other tokays which will be paired in some time. No rush here

Few experienced keepers/breeders did advice me to separate. They were alone for few weeks and are back together from 2 days. We will see!

They are back together after few weeks alone  hopefully they missed each other enough

Leave them be, don’t separate as they’ve been together all this time and ‘bonded’. Separating and reintroducing ’can’ cause issues so leave together.
Females are usually bigger. Nothing to worry about there, and they’ll mate eventually, but in their own time, the male will protect those babies too so prepare for some extra evil tokays

They for sure are bonded. They were separated and reintroduced, they are behaving exactly the same as before, but I will probably not do it again.
I can leave them together or buy new female for the boy and pull off the female from breeding, because she is absolute stunner to handle. Very tame girl, she likes to hang on the shoulder

She is bigger but also fat, I’m trying to lean her a bit. She is up he is down
