Turtle Ponds, anyone?

My wife and I are soon moving (retirement!) from the wilds of Detroit to the wilds of New Hampshire. I will miss my 1,000 gallon koi pond. Hopefully, I can replace it with a similar sized turtle pond… Anyone here have such a thing? Would love to hear about them. What you have? How do you keep the beasts from wandering. Et c.

Build a wall around the pond and land area and sink it into the ground a least 18 inches, any 90 degree (or lower) corners you want to cap. They can scale the inside of a 90 with ease.

If you don’t already, I suggest checking out Kamp Kenan on YouTube. He has a lot of turtle pond videos that could give you some ideas to play with.

Thanks, @eaglereptiles. I do like to watch Kenan’s stuff. Most of his displays are not what I am looking to do in NH. I much prefer Chris Leone’s stuff from NJ. More towards my goals.

Just hoping to learn some more from the turtle fans here!
