underground reptiles seems to have really low prices, which makes me think that their animals are wild caught? do any experts know if my hunch is correct?

UG is widely known to be one of the major importer outfits
As with all importers, low prices tend to attract those newer to the hobby. However, when all is said and done after vet bills for health checks and treatment protocols and medications, the total costs on balance tend to exceed what you would have paid for a CBB animal
This is not to say that import animals are never worth it but, unless you are already very skilled in herpetoculture and trying to acquire/work with a species that is not readily available in the CBB side of the hobby, I would suggest you look elsewhere
