Found this critter while on vacation at Lake Travis by Austin, Texas. We’re on a third story condo and found this guy on the hardwood floor.

Cool find! I’ve found alot of lilittle critters while on vacation to Florida as well. Always brings back memories of me as a little kid searching for reptiles wherever I find one roaming around.

what is it? I live in northern Ca. never seen those around here.
It is either a baby Texas rat snake, or a baby gray rat snake. They can be a bit hard to tell apart as babies.
