Regarding enigma gene leopard geckos in particular…
I was under the impression that they were still not supported on MorphMarket. The morphipedia article even says as much, but it looks like they’re still able to be listed and linked as a gene.
Was curious, and tested with lemon frost. It lets me post an ad for a lemon frost leopard gecko, currently. Which to my understanding shouldn’t be the case, right?
I saw this around a week or so ago. I didn’t know if something changed and forgot to ask as I was in school. I hope it wasn’t intentional due to the severe issues associated with all of the non supported genes
This is a very new update to our rules. Last week we made Enigma (LGs) , Super Cap (CGs) and Super Motley (Argentine - Boas) unsupported for sale.
We do not want to disallow people from using the trait tags on their own personal animals. The trait tag can still be applied, but when an animal with one of those tags is applied AND listed For Sale, then MM staff gets alerted.
Ah… Okay!
It mostly just caught my attention because of a post regarding the LG genes and I knew lemon frost was definitely on the no-nos. So I had to double check enigma morphipedia.
Good update imo.
Out of curiosity, I know there’s been a few bans for selling spider BPs, Particularly at UK shows I believe?
Is this something that will also have a flag similar to the wobble popup that spider complex already has so buyers are aware?
I know it’s a can of worms but considering how many of these other genes have also been prohibited at show vending, I figured I’d ask.
