I’ve meant to post an update of Aurelius, my beautiful miracle baby. (For those who may not know, his origin story is here: https://community.morphmarket.com/t/they-can-store-sperm-for-over-a-year-and-pip/30592/143)
He’s doing well, and boy oh boy, does he glow. He has gorgeous green-golden eyes and a sweet disposition. It’s foggy here today so I took him out for some pics. As usual, he was happy to explore.
Oh my, he is just shining so brightly! What a special boy. I can’t wait to watch as he grows, he’s going to be a spectacular adult. Quite the little miracle!
Thank you both! Every time I look at him, I am still amazed that he exists. He’s such a gift! I would have been delighted with anybody who hatched after that looong wait. His beauty is a fabulous bonus.
The universe decided to throw in a little something extra for your patience, it seems! That little face and the eye spots on his head just give him the sweetest look. Quite the photogenic boy.
I have just finished reading the Scepter saga and her story is amazing and well as her son’s amazing birth and survival.
First of all, the care you provided for Scepter is so heartwarming and uplifting to me. You went above and beyond for your beloved animal. What the both of you went through for that sweet little baby boy! What a tribute to nature that the one little viable egg survived against the overwhelming odds! And what a unique handprint of nature resulted tto bring smiles and such good will among so many people. One sweet little momma corn doing her best to give life to one sweet little baby corn. Life, love, and goodwill toward others.
I am so grateful for this miracle story! God Bless you and have a blessed evening……
Thank you for taking the time to read through the saga. It is quite lengthy if one is reading it all from the beginning rather than bit by bit as it happened. Yes, it was really quite something to live through. I’m so thankful that Sceptre and Aurelius are both here today! Lots of answered prayers!
Also this was truly a saga for the ages. I’m really happy you decided to share it here!! It was an enjoyable read and I’m so glad little Aurelius is with you!
Lol she seems to have forgiven me. It did take some time. I think it helped that there were years of trust between us. Sceptre is doing well now.
She actually did prolapse again briefly a while back. While our four exercise she decided to try and climb a wall. She froze with her body about halfway extended. When she stayed motionless I picked her up and was horrified to see s small prolapse. I put her into a feeding bin (because it was bare), said a prayer, and went to the pet cabinet for her meds. By the time I returned, the tissue was back where it belonged. Haven’t seen it since.
And yes, I’m delighted to have Sceptre and Aurelius and to be able to share the joy.
I have been meaning to get some new pics of Aurelius. Today while out for some play time, my brilliant little guy tied himself in a knot on his branch, so I grabbed the phone for a couple of quick pics. He excels at the whole knotty business. He may not be super smart, but he’s still super sweet!
