Is there anyone on here that owns water snakes??? Barely anybody cares for them

Barely anyone cares for them because they almost solely eat fish. Feeding them rodents would probably shorten their lifespan since that isn’t what they evolved to eat, much like tri-color hognose and needing to eat frogs. You also have to get safe fish for them to eat. They are also prone to musking everytime they are handled and are better for looking and not touching. I have heard they stress from handling as well. It is best they have the ability to swim in their enclosures too, so when they get bigger they need a large enclosure to manage that.
