I had a snake stress dream last night that I was handling one of my snakes and noticed a couple of flecks that might be mites. And of course, once my sleeping brain thinks of something like that, it has to make it much worse, so I looked in the enclosure and discovered it was absolutely swarming with mites and I felt terrible for not having noticed it earlier!
I think I have a snake stress dream like once a month.
