What are your breeding projects?

Wow, i had no clue they could get that big. Kenyans are a relatively small showing at expos around here, and usually relatively small examples.

It takes time for them to get that big. Most of the pictures I see people post of Kenyan Sand Boas are of animals that are under 5 years of age. Harper is 9 years old, and the 1000g+ female is 17 years old. A female KSB can be considered an adult at 3-4 years old, but their lifespan is actually known to exceed 40 years in captivity, making them among the longest lived snakes. Snakes grow slightly for most of their lives, only starting to drop weight when they are elderly. They are also potentially reproductively active into their 30s.

Im learning so much! Theyre pretty animals, and i always like looking at them. I had no idea they got so much bigger and lived so long. Thats pretty cool. Thanks for sharing

This season-
Brazilian Rainbows

Carpets- continue to grow/develop ocelot jungle jag line and zebras working towards supers for patternless.

BPs- multi recessives, clown, desert ghost, hypos. Lucys black & blue, lots of banana and ghi stuff. Citrus Pastel Whiteout YB and highway combos.

Dumerils(should be ready next year) and working on getting a breeding ready pair of unrelated 5yo Mandarin rats, hopefully this weekend.

:crossed_fingers: none of this Lacy act stuff passes or most of these plans will be for naught.
Goodluck everyone on their seasons

I’m currently trying to produce yeti hognoses, but my ultimate goal would be to produce a super arctic, superconda, sunburst hognose. I’d imagine it to look bright orange with a dark orange partial stripe down the back and a couple spots down the sides.

With BPs right now my husband & I are working on Batmans & Firemons then next year I want to start my own project working with Axanthics; I have not had the pleasure of owning an Axanthic yet so unsure of what I want to do exactly, perhaps firefly, clown, &/or cinnamon axanthics, but I just want to focus a few years on only axanthics.

black pastel dinker hypo het pied x ghi het hypo ph pied
black pastel dinker hypo het pied x chocolate pinstripe (if she chooses to go again)
undecided male x mojave het hypo

i also have some '21 babies growing up that I am excited for, mostly my 0.1 puma het hypo from Highline Reptiles. Not sure what her first pairing will look like but I can’t say no to YB complex and hypo LOL

I already posted what I’m currently working towards, but I would also like to say what I want in the future. In the future, I want to work with northern and Tanimbar blue tongues, milk snakes, gray banded king snakes and sand boas.

@westridge You have some amazing looking projects in the works! I’m especially jealous of the sand boas you’re working with currently! I’m saving up to start a Picasso project. Currently I only have a paradox snow group of KSB and a 1.1 rough scale breeding pair heading my way. Feel free to send some of those GX Paints and Snow Splashes this way!

Man, they could come here too lol

I someday want to create a “Kitchen Sink” KSB: Bell Albino, Paradox Albino, Anery, Paint, Splash. We’ll see if I ever get there. My other long term KSB dream is Ghost GX Paint. I’m at least 3 generations away from the Kitchen Sink and at least 2 away from the Ghost GX Paint.

Please the combo name that! It is perfect!
