What can fit in this sized enclousre?

What kind of reptile can live in here

according to measurements its:

length: 23.8

width: 17.8

height: 18.5

i’d assume 34 gallons Its tallish and square?

I doubt it would fit a hognose snake I think it would need to be more wide?

Mabye some viper geckos or frogs?

any ideas what could live in this, I also have two 10 gallons I don’t know what would fit in there if you guys have reccomendations for that too! thanks!

(sorry for quiet a lot of posts I have been getting a lot of stuff since the reptile expo near me is starting soon )

So it is just about 34 gallons…

It can house solitary frogs/toads, I’m not so sure about Crested Geckos since its only 18" tall… but it may work as a temporary enclosure for a Juvenile.

Mourning Geckos would be a perfect fit for it (my rule of thumb for housing them is 1 per 10 gallons) but they are escape artists so it needs to be secure- but thats my bias because I keep them myself and I find them enjoyable. As long as you have a plan for what to do once they start popping out a clutch of eggs every 1.5-2 months…

@cmills has a Pac-Man Frog, that may be a suitable option

Thanks so much! some my family consider owning some fire bellied toad or viper geckos to look at, any opinions on those in this enclousre :D?

Unfortunately I don’t have any experience or knowledge on either of those so I don’t know if that’d be suitable or not for them

A pacman could work here! Especially if you get a juvenile, it could stay there for a year or more, or full-time if it is a smaller male.

There would just be a good bit of wasted vertical space, since all they need is substrate to burrow into, and you would cap that near the levels of the doors. So if you did a pacman set-up in here, you’d have lots of vertical space that wouldn’t be used by the animal but could be decorated!

Awesome, I’ll definitely check out the Pac-Man frogs at Repticon! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I’ve heard they need a really diverse insect diet, though. Right now, I mostly buy crickets, mealworms, and the occasional dubia roach, so I’m a bit worried I won’t be able to provide enough variety. What do you usually feed your Pac-Man frog?

You can buy prepared food for Pacs such as Pac Attack:

Easy peasy!

Oh wow that’s cool I’ll have to look into that!

I think Chewy carries similar but I have had great success with this particular one.

Yep, I have been using pretty much exclusively pac attack pellets, and they can easily enjoy crickets and dubias as enriching live snacks - no need to stress about the diet anymore, its so nice!

Alright so mainly pack attack and crickets as a snack should work? sounds good thanks :D!

I wonder if this works for Southern/Gulf-Coast toads? I mean nutritionally wise? I know it’s labeled specifically for Pac-Mans but I’m just curious if I could probably use it for my toad…

He mainly just eats a mix of Dubias, wax worms and chopped nightcrawlers dusted with Reptivite and Calcium powder.

Well I will give you an uneducated guess that: it’s worth a try. However the PacMan food is fish based. Worms are more meat based? I don’t know about the dubias….

So that being said, the PacAttack I bought was about 10 bucks. It’s worth that to see if your toad will accept it….

I’d have to look into it… I know the GC Toad’s diet is mainly consistent of insects so fish based pellets may actually not be a good fit.

Fair enough!

You could do a small baby alligator snapper or common baby snapping turtle for a little while as they only need 3 inches of water I like to put my new born baby turtles in these zoomed cages till they reach around 2.5 inches easy for them to catch there breathe and also you can make it look really cool but only as temporary obviously they’ll need something huge later one but I thought to share this as many don’t think a baby turtle can go in these but it’s actually really suitable for them depending on what turtle you like to get any mud or musk turtle would be great or a spotted turtle:D

Thanks for the advice! I think I’m going to pass on turtles though since they need a lot of water maintenance. But baby snapping turtles are very cute :D!
